Just a heads
up---you must have read this article (link below) about new disease being found
in Central Texas. With the higher than normal cotton aphid (disease
vector) populations in spots across the Southern High Plains, we need to be
wary of potential virus transmission and symptoms. I hope we stay
away from this thing but we may as well end up seeing it--who knows?
Folks, the elm leaf beetle has been very busy this
summer on our trees. If you have noted brown areas or dead looking leaves
over the past few months, this is the culprit. Please review our Texas
A&M AgriLIfe Extension Elm Leaf Beetle sheet for control options.
