School IPM Training is Finally Coming to our Area
Hello school IPM coordinators, grounds managers, pest management professionals, and school administrators.
On January 27, 2002, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will be offering a one-day school IPM coordinator training at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research & Extension Center in Lubbock. This course is for new and veteran school IPM coordinators who need the 6-hour class to qualify as the Responsible IPM Coordinator. The Texas Department of Agriculture Structural Pest Control Services mandates that each public school district appoint a district employee as the IPM Coordinator. That person must attend a 6-hour school IPM class within 6 months of appointment or if they have had this course, then they must receive 6 hours of continuing education credits every three years. Are you compliance with this rule?
For those individuals that hold a Structural Pest Control license this course will offer 5 CEUS [2 Gen/Law, 1 Gen/IPM, 1 Gen/safety, and 1 Pest] and if you have a TDA pesticide applicator license you can receive 3 CEUs [1 laws and regulations, 1 IPM and 1 General]. This class is open to anyone wanting to learn more about integrated pest management, the laws and rules pertaining to pesticide licensing, a better understanding of pesticide classes and what you can use in and around school property, plus information on cockroaches.
The cost in $135 per person, this fee includes training materials and lunch. We accept purchase orders (select receive an invoice), credit cards and checks. You can register here https://agriliferegister.tamu.edu/productListingDetails/3522
