At the time of our first session on April 8 Dec2021 corn was $4.95/bu. Most grain elevators in the Texas High Plains were quoting bids of $0.80-1.00 above Dec2021 corn. So, to calculate the price on grain sorghum per cwt:
(Dec2021 Corn, $/bu + Adjustment, $/bu) / 0.56 = grain sorghum bid, $/cwt.
At the moment Dec2021 corn is $5.35/bu. Using $0.80/bu over for sorghum bids, then:
($5.35/bu + $0.80/bu) / 0.56 = $10.98/cwt.
